i agree the refs were bad but come on Seattle didn't come to play, the same with the steelers. This game was just like predicted. It just didn't seem like the super bowl last night, it was more of a preseason game atmosphere on the field. Face it the better team won last night even with the calls, there were a couple calls the seahawks got as well like the fumble by the Stephens in the first half it was a catch and fumble but no call.

I'm a Seahawks fan, but I don't think they got robbed. Yes, there were some questionable calls, but the refs didn't make Stevens drop the ball three times. The refs weren't the ones who made sure Alexander only got about 90 yards of offense. We played like the 2004 Seahawks, and we lost. Actually, I don't think it was that bad of a game for us. Our offensive numbers were pretty good. We just didn't get the job done.

The Seahawks in the first half dominated. Were it not for that one great throw by Big Ben, Seattle would have shut Pittsburgh out in the first half, and that's dominance. But their rhythm kept getting interrupted. Every long pass was either dropped (Stevens) or called back by some odd call or another. TD Seattle! No, wait, someone back there winked at Pittsburgh, so better call holding. Try again.

In the second half Pittsburgh got going, and then the Seattle INT hurt their momentum just when they were going to get back. At that point, it wasn't going to be. The better team lost, but it was a combination of factors, including bad calls but also Seattle mistakes, that caused their momentum to be lost. Had those bad calls not happened, I think Seattle would have won for despite their mistakes they kept moving against Pittsburgh and scoring (oops, better make another call to negate that TD). But we'll never know for sure because we won't know how Pittsburgh would have played had they found themselves down by 7 or 10 points. Anything is possible.

They didn't get robbed, but it's unreal Pitt won with a mediocre offense performance. I really thought Seattle would come to play! The Hawks better be concerned with signing Alexander now, not coming up with excuses as to why they lost the big game!

Seahawks weren't robbed, they just had some calls go against them. Champions overcome, seattle had very very little fight in them. But hey, if wearing that shirt will make you feel better more power to you.

Let's be realistic -- when Skip Bayless says they were robbed ... ? Folks, they were robbed.

Keep in mind Skip Bayless felt and still strongly feels that the Seahawks had no business being in the Super Bowl, yet he agrees on the robbery.

Skip Bayless is a doddering old starhumper who didn't even want to go to the Super Bowl because the matchup bored him to death. He's just looking to yell something so that he can draw attention to himself.

Seriously, how much longer are Seahawks fans going to keep whining about this game?

As long as Steelers fans are going to pretend there weren't a lot of bad calls against the Seahawks.

GCRocket02 - Seahawks didn't come to play? Huh, cause from what I saw, especially in the first half was solid drive after solid drive. Course when your momentum is blown every time with holding or pass interference calls, kinda takes the wind from the sails. Boil it down, the better team lost. Minus the gimmick plays of the Steelers, did they really do -anything- on offense? Big Ben, the next Elway? I feel sorry for Elway, and I don't even like the guy.

No i agree with you the seahawks had momentum in the first half and the first drive i thought this game would be good but come on they stalled only a few plays later and the rest is history the team did not come to play. Solid play only totaled 3 points something is wrong with that statement. Stephens drops so many ball Alexander played what looked like his first NFL game ever. The seahawks need to worry about one thing right now and that is retaining Alexander for the future of the franchise because with the performance on Sunday night I think I would walk too. Yes there were some bad calls but they were on both teams Stephens catch and fumble was not called, so the officiating was bad but both sides were equal.

Someone get GCRocket02 the TiVo replay of the game please. Obviously they're referring to a different one than was played on Sunday.

Seriously, how much more proof is needed?

You're just going to keep on going with this huh? So you're saying he didn't push the guy in the end zone on the pass interference call? He did push him...it WAS pass interference. Just because it isn't always called doesn't mean it's not a penalty. Also, the ball crossed the goal line...it barely crossed but it did cross. Even if they do turn that call over they score on the next play. Move on with your life and pray that you can keep Alexander, who you have to admit would be a MUCH bigger star if he played a little farther east. 12th man? Please. Quit crying and just understand you'll look like a complete jackass in that shirt.

In the AFC championship game the Steelers had a touchdown called back on a dubious penalty, what did they do? They scored on the next play. Seattle fans have to realize that at some point you have to make plays. Seattle had two plays after the OPI what did they do? Ran Alexander twice, he did not make a play. Steelers had OPI called on them nullifying a first down on the 15, so Ben scrambled on 3rd and long and made a play. After the holding call, Seattle still had first down. Was Matt H. so teary eyed the play got called back, he threw that hideous pick? Seattle needs to be mad Darrell Jackson hasn't learned to drag his feet, or that Brown has a strong leg but hooks everything. I haven't seen one Seahawk fan mention the block in the back on Ben R. during Hearndon's interception return, that was a missed call just like the others you are complaining about. That would have backed Seattle up to the 50 instead of the 20, would you have then scored your only TD? The TD that made the SB close enough to complain about. Seattle has a lot of inward looking to do before complaining about the Ref's if Seattle brings its D game it wins Ref's or not. Seattle was AWFUL when it mattered the most, and that is what Seahawk fans should feel robbed about.

It's Tuesday, and my team lost a horribly officiated (Championship) game on Sunday. I'm not really planning anything, but the bitterness will probably wear off around Friday. Thanks for asking.

get over it. yes they lost but that was not the reason you lost the game. How bout the lack of time management at the end of the first half you could have easily made 3 pts if not a touchdown and there you go a brand new game but they didn't. I would be pissed too if my team would have made it to the championship and lost but there is always next year. I have the same feelings as you when my Braves lose every year in the divisional series but they always manage to make it back so quit crying about the past and think about the future. I would be more worried about losing Alexander and a coach should have more class then blaming it on the refs i would blame it on the play calling or lack there of.

All I have to say is look at the numbers. Big Ben had one of the worst games of the season. Seahawks had more yards, more TOP and had more turnovers in their favor. I guess it doesn't matter how good you do against the opponent, you have to do a lot better against the guys in stripes.

Even beyond the game play watching the pictures of all the players holding that nice chrome football...did you notice how few Seahawks were shown...and the "I'm going to Disney World" speech practice had a healthy crowd of Steelers fans in front of a bus at the end. Everthing I saw was obviously leaning against the Hawks. Of all the controversial calls....I just love the new adjusted rule: the ground can not cause a fumble unless you are a Hawk playing at the superbowl.

I think a better shirt would show a ref holding the trophy with steelers colors on his stripes.

I heard someone say that the ref who threw a flag for pushing actually lives in Pittsburgh....probably just a rumor, but I would not be suprised if it were true. Anyone have the facts?

I'm really surprised Holgram blamed the refs for his poor coaching, and the fact his team didn't come to play in the biggest game in their franchise history! It makes me think as to how poor the NFC west was through out the season, and what the outcome of the SB would've been with Chicago or Carolina representing the NFC. Seattle must get over the lost, and now look to sign Alexander.

I'd say both teams played poorly. So did the officials. Every break went the Steelers way.

However, the refs can't tackle Fast Willie for the Seahawks. They can't keep the 'Hawks for allowing the Steelers to pick up a 3rd and 28. They aren't the ones who dropped passes (I'm looking at you Jeremy Stevens.) The refs can't manage the clock for the Seahawks, either. (That was blown at the end of each half!!)

Plain and simple, this game was sloppy, on all counts. But the game is over, can't change it, just move on!
